The Cassadel Project is a Public-Private Partnership between the Delta State Government and Dula Agro Services Limited. Our mission is to establish a world-class cassava starch processing plant in Delta State, and become the leading producer of high-quality food-grade and pharmaceutical-grade cassava starch for industrial use.
Empowering Farmers, Driving Industrial Growth
Cassadel goes beyond starch production. We aim to:
● Promote cassava production and marketing: Create a thriving cassava industry in Nigeria, generating jobs and alleviating poverty.
● Become the preferred cassava starch supplier: Establish Cassadel as a reliable source of high-quality starch for local and international markets.
Why Cassadel?
Nigeria, despite being the world’s largest cassava producer, relies heavily on imported corn starch. Cassadel offers a unique solution:
● Capitalizing on Local Abundance: Nigeria is the largest producer of cassava in the world and cassava is the most widely cultivated crop in Nigeria, yet, it is underutilized due to limited processing capacity.
● Conserving Foreign Exchange: Locally produced cassava starch can replace imported corn starch, saving valuable foreign exchange.
● Meeting the Demand Gap: Nigeria faces a significant gap between cassava production and industrial demand for high-quality starch. Cassadel aims to bridge this gap.
● Support local cassava farmers through guaranteed off-take of their crops and contract farming initiatives.
More than a processing plant; an economic driver
Cassadel processing plant is located in Agbor, Delta State, and has a daily production capacity of 50 metric tons of cassava. With this project, we are:
● Boosting local cassava production by providing a reliable market for farmers.
● Creating jobs and alleviating poverty in Delta State.
● Contributing to a more sustainable, industrialized, and diversified economy
