In partnership with the Lagos State Government, we are building a sustainable future for Lagos fisheries with the Lagos Aquaculture Centre of Excellence (LACE) project. This project aims to transform Lagos into a leader in fish production, empowering communities and driving economic growth.
Why LACE?
The vast water resources in Lagos state offers great potential for aquaculture. However, the average fish farmer in Lagos struggle with limited resources, infrastructure, market access and other challenges that limit their productivity and profitability. LACE addresses these challenges head-on.
Impacts:
● State-of-the-Art Infrastructure: Hatcheries, nurseries, grow-out units, processing plants, and a feed mill will streamline production, processing, and distribution.
● Farmers Empowerment: Training programs and extension services will equip farmers with the knowledge and skills to succeed.
● Guaranteed Market Access: A buy-back initiative eliminates middlemen, ensuring fair prices and market stability for farmers.
● Species Diversification: Introducing fish species suited for Lagos’ waters will maximize production and meet market demands.

This joint venture project between Dula Agro Services and the Lagos State Government signifies a shared vision for innovation and aquacultural development. Through our expertise, we aim to create a measurable difference in the fisheries sector.
● Job Creation: LACE will create 5,000 new jobs and stimulate over 25,000 indirect opportunities, boosting economic growth and tackling poverty.
● Economic Catalyst: LACE is projected to contribute over N50 billion to Lagos’ GDP, driving significant economic transformation.
● Food Security Enhancement: With an annual production target of over 60,000 metric tons of fish, LACE will substantially increase local production and strengthen food security.
